McLaren's Lando Norris wins Dutch Grand Prix after Max Verstappen crash
Lando Norris of McLaren secured his second consecutive victory at the Dutch Grand Prix, following his win in Hungary. The race saw a dramatic start with a crash involving local hero Max Verstappen, who lost control of his Red Bull on the first lap but was unhurt. Norris, starting from pole position, battled Kimi Antonelli and Lewis Hamilton, ultimately crossing the finish line 11.54 seconds ahead of Antonelli. George Russell of Mercedes completed the podium. This win marks a hat-trick for McLaren at the Dutch Grand Prix, with Oscar Piastri winning last year and Norris the year before. Antonelli, despite a 59-point lead in the championship, will face a 10-place grid penalty at the next race in Monza due to an engine change. This event was the final edition of the Dutch Grand Prix due to financial reasons, a decision regretted by drivers and fans who praised the unique track and vibrant atmosphere.
