Man-Made River Authority closes central pipeline section to remove encroachments

This measure was taken due to increasing attacks on the system, which have disrupted water supply and damaged equipment, posing a risk of pipe bursts. The MMR appealed to legal authorities for intervention, leading the Attorney General to instruct the Law Enforcement Department to cooperate with the MMR. Technical teams, accompanied by the Law Enforcement Department and the MMR Protection Battalion, will remove encroachments and illegal connections to ensure a regular water supply to the Western Mountain region.

The MMR apologized to affected residents for the temporary halt in water flow and stated that water will be restored as soon as possible, emphasizing that these actions are crucial for maintaining the system's integrity and ensuring a safe and consistent water supply.
