INEC begins collation and announcement of Osun State governorship election results
The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced the collation and announcement of results for the Osun State governorship election. This process began hours after the election concluded across the state's 30 local government areas. Professor Joshua Ogunwole, Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Oye Ekiti, is serving as the State Returning Officer. Initial results from several local government areas have been announced. In Boluwaduro LG, Party A received 7,118 votes, APC 7,050, and ADC 179. Ede South LG saw Party A with 26,188 votes, ADC 390, and APC 6,219. Ife North LG reported Party A with 13,879 votes, ADC 333, and APC 9,613. Ilesa West LGA had Party A at 16,196 votes, ADC 673, and APC 12,756. In Ifedayo LGA, Party A received 7,427 votes, APC 6,836, and ADC 115. Ilesa East LG results showed Party A with 12,280 votes, ADC 504, and APC 16,208. Lastly, Ife Central LGA reported Party A with 21,171 votes, ADC 747, and APC 15,913.
