Botswana Congress Party calls for urgent action on government corruption and maladministration
The Botswana Congress Party BCP has demanded immediate action to address what it describes as significant governance failures, waste, and corruption within the government. This call follows revelations from Public Accounts Committee PAC hearings, which the opposition party states have exposed widespread maladministration and financial losses. According to a statement released by party spokesperson Olebile Machete, these findings confirm the long-held public perception that corruption is deeply embedded within the government machinery. The BCP emphasized that taxpayers should not have to wait indefinitely for these issues to be resolved.
