Afreximbank provides โฌ110 million loan to Chad for economic development and infrastructure
The African Export-Import Bank Afreximbank has extended a โฌ110 million loan to Chad, its largest financing to the country to date. The agreement, signed on August 5 at Afreximbank Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, will support Chad's economic development by funding trade-enabling infrastructure projects approved under the country's 2026 Finance Law. This facility aims to boost trade flows, enhance economic resilience, and facilitate strategic infrastructure, including transport links connecting Chad to Egypt and Libya. The initiative strengthens the partnership between Afreximbank and the Government of Chad, promoting local value addition, industrialization, and economic transformation within Chad and the broader region.
