All Blacks must be flawless to defeat Springboks, says legend Sean Fitzpatrick
Sean Fitzpatrick, former captain of the New Zealand All Blacks, stated that the current team must perform exceptionally well to defeat the South African Springboks in their upcoming four-Test series. Fitzpatrick, who led the only New Zealand team to win a Test series in South Africa, emphasized the need for the All Blacks to "get everything right," avoiding errors like yellow cards or poor scrums. The series, dubbed the "Greatest Rivalry," begins on Saturday at Ellis Park in Johannesburg, with subsequent matches in Cape Town, Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg, and Baltimore. Fitzpatrick noted the Springboks' strong defensive line speed, powerful pack, and attacking prowess, acknowledging that the All Blacks, under head coach Dave Rennie, are aware of these challenges. He expressed satisfaction with the team's transition under Rennie, highlighting the series as excellent preparation for the World Cup.
