Senator Ndume criticizes presidential aides, citing incompetence and embarrassment to Tinubu's administration
Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, has voiced concerns regarding the competence of some individuals within President Bola Tinubu's administration, stating that their actions are causing embarrassment to the presidency. Speaking on Arise Television鈥檚 Prime Time program, Ndume did not name specific individuals but warned that these members could continue to undermine the President unless decisive action is taken. He highlighted the recent discovery of a fake government agency operating under the administration's watch as an example of issues that capable personnel could have prevented. Ndume also expressed his support for the removal of the fuel subsidy, acknowledging it as a difficult decision with painful consequences for Nigerians, but maintained that the President's staff are a major problem, often focusing on personal attacks rather than addressing systemic issues. He urged the All Progressives Congress to concentrate on explaining government policies to Nigerians and advised opposition parties to present alternative policy agendas. Ndume also questioned the composition of the APC's newly formed Presidential Campaign Council, suggesting President Tinubu might not have been fully aware of the processes, given the complaints that arose.
