
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke visits FCT Minister Nyesom Wike after meeting with President Tinubu
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke visited the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday, following his recent re-election. This visit to Wike, which included a photo shared on X by Wike's media aide Lere Olayinka, occurred hours after Governor Adeleke held a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. Adeleke arrived at the Villa accompanied by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and Osun State officials. During his meeting with President Tinubu, Governor Adeleke presented his certificate of return and thanked the President for the conduct of the August 15 governorship election. Adeleke, who ran on the Accord Party platform, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission with 511,067 votes, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress. Speaking after his meeting with the President, Adeleke commended Tinubu for allowing the electoral process to proceed without interference, stating his visit was to thank the President for respecting the democratic process.
