NOC chairman meets Chevron to advance Libyan oil sector MoUs

National Oil Corporation NOC Chairman Masoud Suleiman met with Chevron's Senior Vice President of Global Government Affairs, Alex Mistry, and Director of Exploration and Development, Sunday Shepperd, at Chevron's headquarters. The meeting aimed to strengthen strategic partnerships with international companies and focused on exploring cooperation avenues and following up on Memoranda of Understanding MoUs between the two parties. These efforts contribute to the NOC's plans for developing Libya's oil and gas sector. Discussions included reviewing existing cooperation areas, assessing MoU progress, and outlining implementation steps to achieve shared objectives, enhance investment, and transfer expertise and modern technologies. Both sides emphasized continued coordination to translate MoUs into practical projects, increasing operational efficiency, enhancing technical capabilities, and exploring new opportunities in exploration, development, and production. The meeting also addressed strengthening the strategic partnership to support the NOC's vision of increasing production, developing technical infrastructure, and fostering an attractive investment environment based on transparency and cooperation with leading international companies.
