British MPs call for transparency and justice for Kenyan victims in BATUK cases

Adrian Ramsay, a Green Party MP, emphasized the need for thorough investigations and legal repercussions for offences, calling for close cooperation between British and Kenyan authorities, joint investigations, evidence exchange, and legal/financial assistance. Josh Babarinde, a Liberal Democrat MP, stressed that investigations must prioritize victims' interests and that the British government is responsible for properly examining credible allegations against its military personnel. Both lawmakers advocate for reforming the current framework, particularly jurisdiction clauses, to ensure they facilitate justice rather than protect alleged wrongdoers.
