Two Indian nationals rescued in Kajiado after JKIA abduction, three Pakistanis arrested
Two Indian nationals, Sandeep Sandeep and Ishwar Singh, were rescued in Kajiado South after being abducted shortly after their arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport JKIA on August 10, 2026. Detectives from the Operation Support Unit traced the victims to a bungalow in Tumaini Estate, Nkoroi, where they were found bound at the hands and legs. Three Pakistani nationals, Shahzad Haroon, Tariq Muhammad Muneeb, and Hassan Waqar, were arrested at the scene. Investigators discovered that the suspects had contacted the victims' family in India via WhatsApp, demanding a ransom of USD 32,000 approximately KSh 4.1 million. The victims' mobile phones were recovered about two kilometers from the house. The three suspects are in custody, and detectives are investigating a suspected broader kidnapping-for-ransom network. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI affirmed its commitment to ensuring safety and pursuing individuals involved in such crimes.
