Kaduna police foil criminal operations, recover N78m solar equipment and arrest 25 suspects

During these coordinated raids, the police recovered stolen solar equipment valued at approximately N78 million, 10 firearms, 170 counterfeit US dollar notes, 83 packs of hard drugs, 32 stolen mobile phones, two plasma television sets, a stolen Toyota Sienna vehicle, and over 400 rustled cattle. Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, stated that these achievements underscore the command's commitment to dismantling criminal networks. Notable arrests include a 20-year-old woman, Aisha Barau, for attempting to exchange counterfeit US dollar notes, which led to the apprehension of other syndicate members.

Additionally, three suspected gunrunners were tracked to Jos, Plateau State, and a suspected kidnap kingpin, Abdullahi Mohammed, was arrested in Kargi Village, Ikara Local Government Area. The police also recovered 190 solar inverters worth N69 million and 10 lithium batteries valued at N9 million from a warehouse in Zaria, believed to be stolen from a container. Two suspected illicit drug suppliers to bandits were also arrested in Kasuwar Magani.

Muhammad commended the operatives and urged residents to continue providing intelligence to help flush out criminal elements.
