C么te d'Ivoire sets 2026-2027 farmgate prices for cocoa at 1200 FCFA and coffee at 1300 FCFA
C么te d'Ivoire has announced the farmgate prices for the 2026-2027 cocoa and coffee seasons. Cocoa will be priced at 1200 FCFA per kilogram, while coffee will be set at 1300 FCFA per kilogram. This information was revealed by Bruno Nabagn茅 Kon茅, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Food Production, during the official opening of the 10th edition of the National Cocoa and Coffee Days JNCC at the Abidjan Exhibition Park on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Minister Kon茅 Nabagn茅 stated that the cocoa price was determined based on several parameters. The West African nation had previously paid farmers a record price of 2800 FCFA per kilogram at the start of the 2025/26 season, before reducing the guaranteed price to 1200 FCFA in March, following a sharp decline in global cocoa prices from their historical peaks. The current price falls within the lower end of the 1200 to 1500 FCFA range proposed by the regulator to the government. This price range was based on the average of forward sales for the 2026/27 main crop season, conducted by the Coffee-Cocoa Council CCC between March and June of this year.
