Haut-Sassandra Regional Council President presents 17 billion FCFA investment report to diaspora in Paris
Mamadou Tour茅, President of the Haut-Sassandra Regional Council in C么te d'Ivoire, presented a report on his first three years in office to the diaspora in Paris. The report highlighted an investment budget exceeding 17 billion FCFA since 2023. Addressing hundreds of Ivorian nationals, Tour茅 stated that 354 out of 392 planned projects by the local authority have been completed. Tour茅, who also serves as the Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service, detailed state-funded projects in the region between 2020 and August 2026. These include supporting 36,644 young people 52% women with 14.92 billion FCFA, constructing 84 primary schools 478 classrooms, modernizing Daloa airport, creating a second 946-hectare industrial zone, and building a large market in Daloa and a wholesale market in Z茅pr茅guh茅. Tour茅 emphasized the importance of this connection between elected officials and the diaspora for regional development, stating that such meetings would be held annually and encouraging expatriates to invest locally. Representatives of the Ivorian community in France, including Nazaire Seri Bi, praised the regional authorities' initiative.
