Israeli strikes kill 11 in southern Lebanon, Beirut condemns attack

Seven individuals, including three children and two women, died in an airstrike on a house in Ansar, while four others were killed in a separate strike on Deir El Zahrani. Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri condemned the strikes, calling them a continuation of Israel's war against civilians, property, and heritage in southern Lebanon, and stated that Israel is disregarding agreements and international efforts to reduce tensions. The Israeli army claimed the strikes targeted Hezbollah positions and killed a Hezbollah commander.

However, Lebanese authorities reported that the Ansar strike hit an area sheltering displaced families, killing seven civilians. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam also condemned the attack, asserting that those killed were not "military infrastructure."
