Indonesia earthquake death toll rises to 47, tsunami waves recorded

The quake triggered tsunami waves, measuring less than 1 meter, which were recorded in several areas before the warning was lifted. Approximately 2,000 residents in Nagekeo, near the epicenter, evacuated due to damaged buildings, warehouses, and government facilities. Power outages and traffic disruptions were also reported.

In Maumere, rescuers recovered 20 bodies, with six injured and two still trapped. East Nusa Tenggara Governor Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena stated that at least five people died from collapsing buildings while they were asleep.
