Aminata Touré alleges Ousmane Sonko repeatedly sought financial assistance from the President
Aminata Touré, supervisor of Kiraay and former Prime Minister, has responded to statements made by Ousmane Sonko, accusing him of contradictions and political manipulation. Touré aims to clarify issues for Senegalese citizens, particularly regarding funds for social actions. She claims that Sonko repeatedly approached the President of the Republic for financial support due to difficulties with social initiatives, and the President provided this assistance multiple times. Touré stated that the President provided funds to Sonko "not once, nor twice, nor three, nor four times." This assertion comes amid ongoing debate about the use and transparency of public resources. Touré emphasized that her movement, Kiraay, will counter statements that could mislead public opinion, stating, "We will never accept that public opinion is intimidated." Her comments contribute to the ongoing discussion about special funds and public resource management within the context of political tensions between various political actors.
