President Mahama announces completion of 30 abandoned E-block schools
President John Dramani Mahama has announced plans to complete 30 abandoned E-block school projects nationwide to enhance educational infrastructure and expand access to secondary education. Speaking in Paga, Upper East Region, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, President Mahama stated that the 2026 Budget includes provisions for these projects, emphasizing that leaving already funded projects unfinished wastes taxpayer money. He highlighted Paga Senior High School as one of the completed E-block projects, now a modern facility, which previously forced students to learn in difficult conditions. The President has directed the Ghana Education Trust Fund GETFund to expedite the provision of furniture and equipment for the school. This initiative is part of the government's commitment to utilize existing investments in education infrastructure effectively.
