
Birim Central MCE welcomes Office of Special Prosecutor probe into corruption and illegal mining allegations
Solomon Kusi Brako, the Municipal Chief Executive for Birim Central, has expressed his support for the Office of the Special Prosecutor's decision to investigate allegations of bribery and involvement in illegal mining against him. Speaking on United Television, Mr. Brako stated his readiness to cooperate with any investigation to clear his name. He emphasized that public officers should expect to be investigated and that he, as a leader against corruption, welcomes the probe to address what he described as baseless allegations that have affected his image. He also noted that the National Democratic Congress and President Mahama were elected to fight corruption, making such investigations a necessary step.
