He stated that these funds could be invested in infrastructure, job creation, and essential services. Akuamoah made these remarks at a Youth Leaders Empowerment Dialogue in Accra, emphasizing that Ghanaians, especially the youth, must actively engage in the fight against corruption rather than leaving it solely to state institutions. Mary Addah, Executive Director of Transparency International Ghana, also urged the youth to lead anti-corruption efforts, expressing concern over Ghana's stagnant performance on the Corruption Perceptions Index between 2020 and 2024.

She highlighted that while Ghana possesses a strong constitutional framework for promoting the rule of law and transparency, the challenge lies in implementing these principles. Addah stressed that public officers must remain transparent and accountable, viewing public office as a responsibility to citizens, not a means for personal gain. Panelists at the dialogue encouraged young people to move beyond civic education programs and become active champions of accountability, utilizing social media, community engagements, and civic education clubs to demand transparency and engage public officials.
