KSM links Rev Kusi Boateng's potential jail time to National Cathedral audit, not Bawumia friendship
Veteran media personality Kwaku Sintim-Misa KSM has stated that if Rev Victor Kusi Boateng, founder of Power Chapel Worldwide, were to face imprisonment, it would be due to issues surrounding the controversial National Cathedral project, not his association with former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. KSM's comments were a response to Rev Kusi Boateng's assertion that he was not afraid of prison because of his close ties to Dr. Bawumia and his wife, Samira Bawumia. Rev Kusi Boateng, who served as Executive Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral project, made these remarks to his congregation on August 17, 2026. KSM, speaking on his show on August 24, 2026, dismissed the idea that friendship with Dr. Bawumia could be a reason for arrest, suggesting that Rev Kusi Boateng's comments might be an attempt to preempt potential scrutiny from the National Cathedral's forensic audit. KSM highlighted that the audit report has implicated some pastors in what he termed a "scam." He criticized Rev Kusi Boateng for raising the issue during his child's marriage ceremony, calling it an inappropriate platform for such discussions. KSM emphasized that any arrest or imprisonment would be based on court findings of embezzlement or theft, not personal friendships, and clarified he was not predicting Rev Kusi Boateng's arrest but explaining the basis for any potential legal action.
