
Owendo Container Terminal accelerates modernization with new equipment at Owendo Port
Owendo Container Terminal OCT is continuing the modernization of its facilities at Owendo Port. On August 6, OCT presented its new equipment and the progress of its investment program, which aims to enhance the terminal's productivity and support the growth of Gabon's trade. An institutional visit on August 6, 2026, brought together various stakeholders from the Gabonese port community, including the Port Authority, partner administrations, transport and logistics professionals, and terminal users' representatives. This meeting allowed OCT to showcase the latest machinery received as part of its modernization plan. Through these investments, OCT intends to increase its operational capacities, improve the quality of services offered to clients, and strengthen the competitiveness of the national logistics chain. Sandrine Wamy, OCT's General Manager, stated that these investments reflect their commitment to anticipating market needs, continuously improving service quality, and actively contributing to the competitiveness of the Gabonese logistics chain. She also emphasized the human dimension of this transformation, noting that terminal performance relies on the skills of the people using the equipment.
