Gabon establishes its first Tourism Office to enhance national tourism coordination and promotion

This event coincided with the launch of tourism offerings for the Estuary province, as part of the Tourism Caravan initiative. The ceremony brought together key stakeholders from the tourism sector, including hoteliers, restaurateurs, transporters, tourism promoters, artisans, and institutional partners. Professor Ibinga-Itsitsa presented the new office as a tool to better coordinate, promote, and enhance the national tourism offering, aiming to bring together various sector actors and build a more distinct and competitive Gabonese destination.

She emphasized that the development of tourism is a collective responsibility, and by uniting public and private sector energies, conditions for a more competitive, attractive, and sustainable sector are created. The establishment of this office aligns with the government's objective to provide the country with a modern instrument for tourism coordination, promotion, and enhancement. The launch of the Estuary's tourism offerings showcased the natural, cultural, and seaside attractions of Pointe-Denis and other provincial destinations.
