FSF executive committee member calls for Secretary General Abdoulaye Saydou Sow's dismissal after World Cup exit

In a statement addressed to the FSF President and Executive Committee members, Cissé attributed the team's difficulties, including coordination, organizational, and administrative management issues, as well as travel problems for some delegation members, largely to the General Secretariat. He argued that these dysfunctions weakened the national team even before the tournament began. Cissé emphasized that the premature exit was not merely a sporting failure but also a reflection of administrative, organizational, and strategic shortcomings.

He called for a rigorous evaluation of the General Secretariat's actions and demanded the dismissal of its head, Abdoulaye Saydou Sow, to reform the federation's governance. Cissé stated that changing a leader becomes an act of responsibility when a mode of operation reaches its limits, advocating for a more efficient, transparent, and collegiate administration to serve clubs, players, and the national team. He concluded that the revocation of the Secretary General is now a necessity for the future of Senegalese football.
