Air Peace launches Lagos-Conakry-Bamako flight operations
Air Peace has expanded its regional network by commencing scheduled flight operations on the Lagos-Conakry-Bamako route. The airline stated that this move aims to boost trade, tourism, and economic cooperation between Nigeria, Guinea, and Mali, and strengthen intra-African connectivity. The inaugural flight departed Murtala Muhammed International Airport Terminal 2, Lagos, on Saturday. The Air Peace delegation, led by Chief Commercial Officer Nowel Ngala and Director of Flight Operations Augustine Kamano, was received by Guinea's Minister of Transport Ousmane Diallo, Nigeria鈥檚 Ambassador to Guinea Umaru Kamfu, and Director of the Civil Aviation Authority Thiam Sekou. Diallo described Air Peace's entry as a significant development for bilateral relations, facilitating movement of people, trade, and investment. Sekou emphasized the importance of increased air connectivity for Africa's aviation industry and regional integration. Nigeria鈥檚 Ambassador Kamfu commended the airline for expanding its African network, easing travel for citizens across the sub-region. After Conakry, the flight proceeded to Bamako, where it was welcomed by Deputy Director of Assistance A茅roportuaire du Mali Abdrahamane Farota and Technical Director Bahide Konandji. Ngala noted that the Conakry and Bamako services are part of Air Peace's strategy to build a comprehensive African network, linking passengers from domestic operations to regional and international destinations like London and the Caribbean.
