Fathi Jamal unveils new strategic architecture for Moroccan football

Fathi Jamal, the national technical director, presented a new strategic framework for Moroccan football during a press conference held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora. This new structure focuses on developing young talent and enhancing performance, which are considered central to the technical strategy. Jamal emphasized that both male and female players are at the core of this development work, and a "Performance" hub has been integrated, deemed essential in modern football. He highlighted a comprehensive approach that prioritizes training. The technical director also stressed the importance of international expertise, aligning with the strategy of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation FRMF. He stated that Morocco is an open country and that international expertise is crucial to stay abreast of global dynamics, despite local competencies. This new roadmap builds on existing progress, aiming for continuous improvement to ensure sustainable success for future generations. Regarding the national under-23 team, Jamal indicated that the choice of a new coach has not yet been finalized, with a preference for a patient approach. Jamal Aït Ben Idir will provisionally lead the Olympic selection, temporarily succeeding Tarik Sektioui, who has taken on a new role in Oman.
