Egyptian President El-Sisi and Chinese President Xi Jinping to hold Cairo summit to deepen ties
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are scheduled to meet in Cairo on Wednesday at Al-Ittihadiya Palace. The summit aims to discuss deepening bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on regional and international issues. President El-Sisi received President Xi on Tuesday for an official visit, which coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and China, established in 1956. This marks President Xi's first visit to Egypt in over a decade. The visit seeks to strengthen political, economic, and development relations and to follow up on the 2014 comprehensive strategic partnership agreement. Several agreements and memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed during the visit.
