Eramet Comilog transfers 6.47 billion FCFA in infrastructure to the Gabonese state in Moanda

These initiatives, part of the mining group's Corporate Social Responsibility CSR, aim to enhance access to drinking water and improve public lighting. Philippe Tonangoye, Minister of Universal Access to Water and Energy, visited Moanda and signed cession agreements with Eramet Comilog, represented by its Administrator and Director General, Leod Paul Batolo. Investments in water infrastructure include a treatment plant at Cité Lékolo II, two industrial boreholes with treatment systems, and increased propulsion capacity for two SEEG boosters.

This has connected 417 homes, benefiting 2,022 residents, to a production capacity of 12 m³ of treated water per hour, with an additional 22 m³/h from the boreholes. In the energy sector, approximately 6,000 solar streetlights were deployed between 2020 and 2026, costing nearly 5 billion FCFA. Minister Tonangoye praised Eramet Comilog's commitment and emphasized that the partnership between the Gabonese state and the company is crucial for public policy and meeting essential needs.

The transfer of these assets to the state aims to ensure sustainable operation and maintenance, guaranteeing continuity of public service. Eramet Comilog is also conducting studies to increase water capture capacity at Cité Lékolo II and mobilize water from the Ogooué River, with results to be shared with
