Gabonese stylist Kevin Lanoy dresses celebrities and gains international recognition

Based in Paris, Lanoy is known for his work with figures like dancer Guillaume Diop and singer Yseult, and his creations have been featured in publications such as Vogue, GQ, Numéro, and CR Fashion Book. He has also been recognized by the British Fashion Council as one of its New Wave: Creatives 2025, a selection of 50 young international talents. Lanoy's career in fashion began almost by chance in 2018 after an unexpected invitation to an Off-White show led him backstage, where he met Virgil Abloh.

This encounter transformed his fascination with fashion into a profession. He later became an assistant to stylist Edem Dossou and developed his distinct aesthetic, characterized by structured silhouettes, intricate materials, a preference for monochrome, and a focus on storytelling through clothing rather than simply displaying brands. He stated in 2025 to Technikart magazine, "I am more into shapes than colors."

His collaboration with Guillaume Diop has been particularly notable. For the 2025 Met Gala, Lanoy styled Diop in a Valentino ensemble inspired by Senegalese boubous and ballet, drawing from Senegalese photographs and the dancer's grandmother's boubous. He continued to style Diop for the 2026 Met Gala, also in Valentino.
