An explosion at an illegal mining site in Aboso, Prestea Huni Valley Municipality, Western Region, has resulted in at least four deaths and several injuries. Reports indicate that a gunshot aimed at a snake accidentally detonated mining explosives stored near a gas station in Breman. An eyewitness described hearing a loud sound, initially mistaken for an earthquake, before discovering the cause. The blast caused widespread panic among residents and significant damage, ripping apart wooden sheds and scattering debris.
