Egypt's FRA establishes new group to enhance women's financial inclusion

Chaired by Islam Azzam, FRA Chairman, and led by Tarek Seif, Executive Director of the Financial Services Institute, the group includes representatives from the FRA, the Financial Services Institute, the National Council for Women, and independent members. Its objectives are to create a structured framework for gender equality efforts, improve women's access to financing, and support their participation in entrepreneurship and economic activities. The group will develop the FRA's gender equality strategy, monitor women's representation in company boards and senior management, track financing for women in non-banking financial activities, and identify barriers to funding.

It will also propose new financial products and initiatives for women's financial inclusion, economic empowerment, and social protection, alongside policies to prevent workplace discrimination. Collaborating with organizations like the National Council for Women and the Egyptian Institute of Directors, the group will conduct training programs and awareness initiatives. It will also establish key performance indicators to measure progress and submit an annual report to the FRA chairman.
