El-Sisi and Xi Jinping hold talks to strengthen Egypt-China ties and promote diplomatic dispute resolution
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Chinese President Xi Jinping held discussions in Cairo to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation. The leaders emphasized the importance of diplomacy in resolving regional and international disputes. President El-Sisi and First Lady Entissar El-Sisi welcomed President Xi Jinping and his spouse at Al-Ittihadiya Palace. This visit coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and China, with Egypt being the first Arab and African nation to establish ties with the People鈥檚 Republic of China. El-Sisi highlighted that the 2014 elevation of their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership has allowed both countries to play an active role in global interactions. President Xi affirmed China's commitment to this partnership and expressed a desire to broaden its scope. He also encouraged Chinese companies to increase investments in Egypt, leveraging the Egyptian market's advantages and strategic location. China will continue to provide expertise and technical cooperation in infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and agriculture.
