Addressing recent reports, Dr. Madbouly clarified that Hassan Heikal is not a full-time advisor to the Prime Minister, but rather a member of the Economic Advisory Committee, which intentionally includes government critics. He rejected Heikal's proposal for a Suez Canal swap, reiterating that the waterway is a non-negotiable sovereign asset vital to national security.
