
Egypt's health minister and South Sudanese ambassador discuss strengthening medical cooperation
Egypt's Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with South Sudan's Ambassador to Egypt Kuol Nyok Kuol to discuss expanding healthcare cooperation. The meeting took place at the ministry鈥檚 headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. Minister Abdel Ghaffar reiterated Egypt's dedication to providing health support to South Sudan, emphasizing Egypt's continental role and shared responsibility towards African nations. Ministry Spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar noted that discussions included public health support under the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention Africa CDC. Ambassador Kuol acknowledged Egypt's continuous support since 2013, highlighting the positive impact of Egyptian health initiatives such as pediatric hearing impairment treatment, school vision screening, and the campaign to eliminate Hepatitis C across Africa. Both parties agreed to continue their collaborative efforts to improve South Sudan鈥檚 healthcare system.
