
President El-Sisi condemns Iranian attacks on Bahrain, reaffirms support
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's support for Bahrain and condemned Iranian attacks on Bahraini territory during talks with Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in New Alamein. El-Sisi emphasized that Bahrain's security is integral to Egypt's national security, a stance welcomed by King Hamad. The Bahraini King expressed appreciation for Egypt's support and wished Egypt continued progress. Both leaders stressed the importance of continued coordination to address regional challenges, avoid escalation, and promote stability in the Middle East, advocating for dialogue and peaceful means to resolve crises. Discussions also covered the Palestinian cause, with both leaders stressing the need for all parties to implement the Gaza ceasefire agreement, ensure humanitarian aid delivery, and support a comprehensive and just resolution based on international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution, including an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. El-Sisi praised the progress in Egyptian-Bahraini relations and highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in economic, trade, and investment sectors, and deepening strategic consultations. King Hamad expressed appreciation for the reception and reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to advancing relations with Egypt, underscoring the importance of developing bilateral ties to serve the interests and shared development goals of both nations.
