Egypt proposes economic committee and business council with Luxembourg

Meeting his Luxembourg counterpart Xavier Bettel on the sidelines of the Egypt-EU Partnership Council, Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's structural reforms aimed at empowering the private sector, identifying infrastructure, clean energy, transport, and banking services as priority areas for Luxembourgish investment. Bettel reiterated Luxembourg's commitment to upgrading bilateral ties and maintaining close consultations on regional crises, praising Egypt's role as an anchor of stability in the Middle East. Abdelatty also discussed the immediate execution of the first phase of the Gaza peace plan and a swift transition to its second stage, stressing the need for the National Committee for Gaza Management to operate from within the Strip and for the rapid deployment of an international stability force.

He also welcomed the newly brokered agreement between the United States and Iran and briefed Bettel on Egypt's regional diplomacy regarding conflicts in Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, and the Horn of Africa.
