Egypt invites 119 countries to 9th Cairo Water Week focusing on shared water resources

The event, themed “Water as a Catalyst for: Peace, Shared Prosperity, and a Sustainable Planet,” will address the management of shared water resources under international water law. Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam highlighted CWW as a key international platform for dialogue and expertise exchange on water issues, noting increasing global participation from ministers, officials, and organizations. The week will feature five main themes, including securing agricultural and food systems, strengthening climate resilience, utilizing artificial intelligence, and addressing water challenges through various tools and frameworks.

Alongside CWW, the 7th Arab Water Conference and the International Water, Waste and Infrastructure IWWI 2026 exhibition and conference will take place, aiming to foster cooperation and showcase technologies in the water, infrastructure, and energy sectors. The event will also integrate with the Sahara International Agricultural Exhibition and Aqua Energy Expo, linking water, agriculture, energy, and food security.
