
Egypt and Qatar urge Israel to adhere to Gaza peace plan commitments
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met in Alamein to discuss the Palestinian cause. They emphasized the importance of pressing Israel to honor its commitments under the first phase of US President Donald Trump鈥檚 peace plan for Gaza and the recently announced roadmap. The ministers also addressed developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem, warning against settlement expansion, settler attacks, and provocations at Al-Aqsa Mosque. They stressed the need to halt unilateral Israeli measures due to their impact on peace and stability. Additionally, they discussed bilateral relations, investments, and regional issues including Iran, freedom of navigation, Lebanon, and the Horn of Africa. This meeting precedes the seventh session of the Egyptian-Qatari Joint Higher Committee in Alamein.
