Egypt and Chad hold fourth joint committee session to strengthen bilateral relations

The meeting involved extensive discussions aimed at bolstering bilateral relations across various sectors. The Egyptian delegation included Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad; Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Transport; Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population; and Dr. Abdel-Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Culture, among others. The Chadian delegation was led by Dr. Abdallah Saber Fadl, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and included ministers from various portfolios.

Discussions highlighted the growing momentum in bilateral ties, with Minister Abdelatty conveying greetings from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to President Field Marshal Mohamed Idriss Déby. Key initiatives discussed included the launch of El Gran Corridor for logistics and agricultural development, the success of an Egyptian medical convoy that performed over 500 surgeries, and the opening of a new dialysis center in N'Djamena. The completion of the Alexandria University campus branch in N'Djamena and ongoing capacity-building programs were also noted.

Future collaborations will focus on boosting trade in energy, investment, infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, education, and pharmaceuticals, alongside expanding university scholarships for Chadian students. Minister
