Egypt and Chad foreign ministers meet to enhance bilateral relations and regional coordination

The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations and coordinating positions on regional issues. Minister Abdelatty highlighted the importance of the fourth session of the Joint Committee as a milestone for enhancing ties, noting that upcoming agreements would solidify cooperation. He also emphasized the significance of the Egyptian-Chadian Business Forum and preparations for the El Alamein-Africa Forum.

Abdelatty praised existing infrastructure collaboration, including the Egypt-Libya-Chad road, and expressed Cairo's commitment to boosting trade in energy, construction, and logistics, encouraging Egyptian private-sector participation in Chad's development plans. Humanitarian and educational initiatives were also discussed, such as a medical convoy in N'Djamena, the inauguration of a dialysis center, and the planned opening of an Alexandria University campus. Capacity-building programs in security and counterterrorism, along with continued military cooperation, were reviewed.

The ministers exchanged views on regional matters, particularly the Sahel region and the conflict in Sudan. Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's support for Sudan's unity and sovereignty, rejecting external interference and emphasizing Sudanese ownership of any political solution
