
President El-Sisi welcomes Xi Jinping as a 'dear guest' and 'generous friend' during 70th anniversary of Egyptian-Chinese relations
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi delivered a welcoming message at an event in Cairo celebrating 70 years of Egyptian-Chinese relations, co-organized by the Ministry of State for Information and the China Media Group. In his message, read by journalist Diaa Rashwan, Minister of State for Information, President El-Sisi extended a warm welcome to Chinese President Xi Jinping, referring to him as a 'dear guest on the banks of the Nile and a generous friend to the Egyptian people'. President El-Sisi highlighted that he and President Xi Jinping have worked together for over twelve years to strengthen the bonds between Egypt and China, elevating bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This partnership has boosted trade, investments, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, including scientific and cultural missions among youth. He noted that Egypt-China relations are an exemplary model of partnership, founded on mutual respect, solidarity, and shared interests, promoting cooperation, truth, justice, equality, comprehensive development, and just peace. President El-Sisi expressed anticipation for a new era of advanced relations, with continued efforts to enhance solidarity and cooperation across diverse fields for mutual benefit and greater prosperity, progress, and peace.
