China and Africa aim to strengthen media cooperation in the digital era at 7th Sino-African Media Forum

Government officials, media professionals, and audiovisual stakeholders from China and Africa are gathered to discuss the future of their cooperation in a sector significantly impacted by digital technology and artificial intelligence. The forum, co-organized by China's National Radio and Television Administration NRTA, the Beijing Municipal People's Government, and the African Union of Broadcasting, is themed "Sharing new development opportunities, jointly building a new audiovisual future." Burkina Faso is participating with a delegation led by its Minister of Communication, Gilbert Ouédraogo.

This edition is particularly significant as it coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Africa and the Sino-African Year of Human and Cultural Exchanges. The discussions focus on three priorities: making radio, television, and audiovisual media tools for human exchange, drivers of economic and commercial development, and platforms for youth interaction.
