Bouaddi's transfer to Manchester City from Lille reportedly close to completion
The transfer of Moroccan international midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille to Manchester City is "not far" from being finalized, according to Sylvain Armand, the sporting coordinator for Losc. While several media outlets have reported an agreement between Manchester City and Lille for an estimated 100 million euros, Armand stated that "there are still details to be settled, the deal is not far." Bouaddi, 18, who performed well for Morocco in the 2026 World Cup, was not included in the squad for Lille's first Ligue 1 match against Angers. Armand mentioned that "things have progressed well in recent hours concerning his departure" and that Bouaddi was being protected by the club, with the team having prepared for the week without him. Another article indicates that Manchester City has reportedly reached a principal agreement with Bouaddi on a contract until 2031 and is preparing a 90 million euro offer for Lille.
