Ghanaian police officer alleges sale of ammunition to criminals by colleagues
General Lance Corporal Nicholas Ohene Ampong Kissi of the Ghana Police Service has voiced concerns regarding alleged misconduct within the force. He claims that ammunition is being sold to criminals, who then use it to attack civilians and other police officers. In a video shared by Crime Check TV on social media, Kissi stated that hardened criminals have reportedly taken control of the Mataheko and Odorkor police barracks. He further alleged that a station officer at these barracks is involved in selling ammunition to armed robbers. Kissi reported being attacked after raising these concerns, an incident he believes is connected to information he gathered and intended to share with police authorities. He displayed a medical report from a police hospital to substantiate his assault claim and has urged the Inspector-General of Police to investigate these allegations.
