Dambai Bridge construction in Oti Region set for 2029 completion
The government has initiated construction of the 1.5-kilometer Dambai Bridge in the Oti Region, with an expected completion date of May 2029. This project, which began in January 2026, aims to enhance road connectivity and facilitate the movement of people and goods. The Dambai Bridge is one of two major bridges under construction to span water bodies in Ghana, the other being the 3.6-kilometer Afram Bridge in the Eastern Region. These projects are part of a broader infrastructure agenda to address transportation challenges and improve access to communities separated by major water bodies. The completion of the Dambai Bridge is anticipated to boost transportation in the Oti Region and support economic activities by providing more reliable access across the waterway.
