Borno State Police recover hand grenade from Maiduguri drainage slab

The recovery was made by operatives of the EOD-CBRN Base 13, Maiduguri, following a report received on August 15, 2026. Nahum Daso, the command's Public Relations Officer, stated that the unexploded ordnance has been secured for further examination, and an investigation is underway to determine its origin and the circumstances of its discovery. The Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, commended the public for their vigilance and reiterated the command's commitment to protecting lives and property.
