Attijariwafa bank reports stable 5.9 billion dirham gain in first half of 2026

The consolidated net banking income reached 18.4 billion dirhams, up 4% year-on-year. This growth was driven by commercial momentum in savings collection and economic financing in Morocco and other countries where the group operates. Gross operating income increased by 1.5% to 11.6 billion dirhams, supported by cost management.

The cost-to-income ratio stood at 36.8% at the end of June 2026. Operating income rose by 3.3% to 10.4 billion dirhams, partly due to an 11.2% improvement in the cost of risk, which was 1.2 billion dirhams, representing 0.50% of gross customer outstandings. Consolidated net income amounted to 7.1 billion dirhams, a 2.3% increase from 6.9 billion in June 2025.

On a standalone basis, net banking income was 11.7 billion dirhams, up 4%, and net income reached 5.6 billion dirhams, an 8.7% increase. Attijariwafa bank continued to expand its financing activities, with equipment loans growing by 36% to 142 billion dirhams and corporate loans increasing by 14% to 227 billion dirhams. The bank also granted 5.5 billion dirhams in household loans.

Loans to the economy in Morocco grew by 9%, representing a net production of 28 billion dirhams. In other countries, loans to the economy increased by 6.4% at constant exchange rates. Deposits collected in Morocco rose by 12% year-on-year, reaching 382 bill
