Mamelodi Sundowns win third CAF Women鈥檚 Champions League Cosafa Qualifier title
Mamelodi Sundowns secured their third regional title in the CAF Women鈥檚 Champions League Cosafa Qualifier, defeating Zesco Ndola Girls 2-1 in the final held in Gaborone. This victory qualifies them for the continental finals. Golden Boot winner Refilwe Tholakele scored both goals for Sundowns, one from a penalty. Charity Mubanga had equalized for Zesco before halftime. Sundowns maintained an unbeaten record throughout the tournament, scoring 22 goals and conceding only two in five matches. Zesco Ndola Girls experienced their second consecutive final loss. In the third-place match, Gaborone United defeated Silver Strikers of Malawi 4-0. Individual awards included Karabo Dhlamini of Sundowns as Player of the Tournament, Refilwe Tholakele with the Golden Boot, and Andile Dlamini, also from Sundowns, receiving the Golden Glove for best goalkeeper. Zesco Ndola Girls were awarded the Fair Play award.
