Archaeological mission uncovers building remains in North Sinai's ancient city of Asila

This discovery is part of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' efforts to explore Egypt's archaeological and cultural heritage, particularly in Sinai. The building is thought to have been a caravanserai, serving trade caravans, Egyptian pilgrims, and travelers on the Sultan's Road, also known as the Egyptian Hajj Road. This historic route was crucial for the movement of pilgrims, merchants, and travelers between Egypt, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Levant.
