Kaia's half-century keeps Zimbabwe's Tri-Series final hopes alive
Innocent Kaia scored a brilliant half-century, making 72 runs off 42 balls, to help Zimbabwe's Chevrons defeat Namibia by five wickets with 11 balls remaining in a crucial Tri-Series match at Namibia Cricket Ground. Chasing Namibia's total of 156 for six, Zimbabwe reached 159 for five in 18.1 overs. Kaia's performance was pivotal after Ben Curran fell early. He formed a 61-run partnership with Brian Bennett and reached his half-century in 30 balls. Captain Sikandar Raza contributed 29 runs before Ryan Burl and Tadiwanashe Marumani secured the victory. For Namibia, captain Gerhard Erasmus scored an unbeaten 88 runs. Zimbabwe's bowlers, including Brad Evans and Kundai Matigimu, took two wickets each.
